My dear friend Darleen makes me want to be a better person. She is the strongest, most optimistic person I have ever met. She has been battling Ewing's for two years and has had a smile on her face throughout. When I was undergoing treatment I was optimistic, but sad and angry. She is nothing short of cheerful every day. I can't help but feel guilty for the trouble I caused my doctors or the million complaints my mom had to listen to. I wish I had been more like Darleen. She deserves to win her fight more than anyone.
